Reciprocity - giving in order to receive

If you are willing to help others and put up with the difficulties this involves, other beings of a higher order will decide to help and support you. As long as you refuse to have anything to do with those who are in an inferior position, you will be depriving yourself of certain exchanges with them, and the invisible world, in turn, will refuse to exchange with you. It is important for human beings to learn to have genuinely reciprocal relationships. The wise and learned must pass on their light, and the ignorant must receive it and rejoice in it. The rich must visit the poor and be happy that they are able to do some good; the poor should feel helped and encouraged. Such sincere, brotherly reciprocity is a source of great happiness. But those whose granaries and coffers are full and who refuse to put their wealth into circulation become like swamps: they maintain a state of inner stagnation. They will never discover the meaning of life for they fail to recognize the powerful law of reciprocity.*
