Bathing - invoke the power of God over the water

Every activity of daily life can be transposed onto the spiritual plane. For example, you wish to take a bath. Do not be satisfied with a physical bath that will get rid of just a small bit of dirt; rather, let this be a bath that will also wash every level of your being, a bath that purifies you. So, before getting into the water, speak to it and to its inhabitants, saying, ‘O creatures who live in this water, I am happy to make contact with you today, because I know that God has given you the power to remove impurities from my whole being. So, I ask that you please set to work on me.’ Then touch the water, bless it, and invoke the power God has over water, the light of God and the purity of God. By speaking to the water in this way—as to a very precious element issuing from God, in which beings of great purity live—you are already entering into contact with it on other planes. When you begin to wash yourself, you can then reach your etheric, astral and mental bodies. You will sense yourself freed from all accumulations of psychic impurities and will be ready to work again with renewed vigour.
