Jesus - proposing the new life of Christ

Christianity places great emphasis on the crucifixion of Jesus. It is indeed good to link ourselves to the passion and death of Jesus in order to understand the enormity of his sacrifice. But in the new life that Christ is now proposing, it is not recommended to dwell on the suffering of the cross, because Christ also manifests through beauty, joy and light. In the new society, it will be thoughts of the glory of Christ that will nourish our inner lives. God will rejoice to see that we no longer favour the negative side, that we no longer kiss the ground and kneel beside graves, because He has a more glorious future in store for us. And if there are dead to be tended to, it is not those in the cemeteries, but those buried deep inside us: our old habits and old misconceptions. These are the dead that we must seek out and be done with!
