Human beings - they possess everything they need to flourish

Human beings possess within themselves everything they need to flourish, but they do not know it, and they do not put these resources to use—they are always looking elsewhere, on the outside. On the outside, they will find ways to act only upon matter, but not to work on their psychic life and to find peace, harmony and light. External means may be effective for our physical body, but contrary to what a materialistic society would have us believe, the only means that can be useful to our psychic life are those we find within ourselves, in our soul and spirit. The disciples of an initiatic teaching know that when God created human beings, He gave them spiritual organs which are, on another plane, the equivalent of their physical organs. Most of the time, these organs are so seldom used that they are like machines that have been left idle: they are jammed, rusty and choked with dust and cobwebs. Your task now is to get them working again, and this is the purpose of meditation, prayer and all our spiritual exercises.*
