God - exists only for those who are awakened

Why argue so much about the existence or non-existence of God? It is pointless. Actually the matter is very simple: for the non-believer, God certainly does not exist. Why? Because it depends on each person as to whether things do or don’t exist for them. Think of someone who is asleep: even if you pile all the world’s treasures around their bed, because they are not aware of them it’s as if there was nothing there. How many human beings have fallen into the deep sleep of unconsciousness in this way! Sages, initiates, because they are truly awakened beings, see the splendours all around them and are delighted by them. Other people have the same riches around them and in them but neither see them nor sense them. So it all depends on the state of consciousness. When we are awakened, certain things become a reality, but the moment we go to sleep they fade. That is how it is with the existence of God: those who are asleep have no sense of it and claim he does not exist. But if they wake up, they will sense that God is alive around them and within them.
