Freedom - we must first pay our debts

Many spiritual people make the mistake of believing that their existence will be transformed simply because they have chosen the path of righteousness and light. Yes, it may be transformed inwardly, but they should have no illusions about the difficulties and sufferings they will encounter in this incarnation, for they still have many debts to pay, many accounts to settle. They will be truly free only when they have honoured all their debts. And you too will be free only when you have paid all your debts. This is why you must neither rebel against your trials and hardships, nor fall apart because of them, but try to get through them, knowing that they are necessary and that they must not prevent you from building your future.
