You will only obtain results on the spiritual plane if you possess the qualities and virtues necessary to sustain your work. Take talismans, for example. More and more people are using store-bought talismans, thinking that they only have to wear them or place them somewhere in their homes to be protected and successful. How wrong they are! Even if you have a talisman that was prepared for you by a great Magus, its efficacy and power will last only as long as your thoughts and feelings and the purity of your life continue to animate and feed it. Otherwise, it will not be long before its powers fade and die altogether. No talisman can last forever; its life depends on the qualities of the person wearing it.
