Yesod to Kether - the sublimation of the sexual force

The process of sublimation of the sexual force can be represented by several symbolic forms, one being the sephirotic tree. Situated along the central pillar, which can be likened to the spinal column, and starting from the bottom, are the three sephiroth of Yesod, Tiphareth and Kether. Symbolically, the path from Yesod through Tiphareth to Kether is that of the sublimated sexual force. The holiness of Kether, the crowned head, right at the top of the central pillar, has its origin in the purity of Yesod, the sexual organs. This holiness is sexual energy, which disciples strive to raise with the help of the powers of Tiphareth, the Sun, until it is able to manifest high above their head as golden light. Yes, this is the aim of initiation: to be capable of mastering a raw energy which exerts a downward pull, make it change direction and then work with this quintessence until it is transformed into an aura of light.
