Universe - created by God by projecting light

In the beginning, God, the primordial Fire, the masculine principle, engendered light and projected it into space. Light is the substance of creation. This is why the Book of Genesis says that God created light from the beginning, on the first day. Some theologians and philosophers claim that God created the world out of nothing. Out of nothing external, yes, and this is what is difficult to understand, for we human beings always need external materials and tools to build something. The truth is that it is impossible to create something out of nothing. This notion of a creation that came from nothing simply means that God drew the substance of the universe from his own being. The universe is the very substance drawn from God, which now exists externally in the form of light… but which is still God.*
