To understand and help other people it is not necessary to feel and experience exactly what they are going through. In fact, it is better not to share these experiences, as often, this form of sympathy holds you back on the astral plane. What you need to do is try to rise to the mental plane in order to reason and reflect. If you pay close enough attention, if you know how to listen to people and observe them, with practice, you can figure them out based on the elements you discover: who they are, what their thoughts, feelings and needs are—without being affected by them. Some people have psychological insight that is a form of clairvoyance. But when we are content to feel things without deeper comprehension or clear perception, not only are we vulnerable, but we cannot be of much use to others.*
