Sun - as it rises, drink its light and eat its fire

You are at the sunrise: as you await the first ray, you are watchful and attentive, and when the first ray appears, you imagine that you are absorbing it, that you are swallowing it. In this way, you start to drink the sun. Instead of just looking at it and breathing it, you drink and eat it and imagine that this living light is spreading throughout all the cells of your organs, purifying, strengthening and invigorating them. This exercise will help you to concentrate and the results will be fantastic. Your whole being will quiver as you feel that you are really absorbing the light. It is written in the Zend-Avesta that when Zoroaster asked Ahura-Mazda how primordial man fed himself the latter replied, ‘He ate fire and drank light.’ So why should we not also learn to eat fire and drink light in order to return to the perfection of primordial man?
