Physical and spiritual world - no longer oppose or separate them

Spirituality is founded on the laws governing man’s psychic life. Scientists must recognize this domain and understand that since the spiritual life rests on laws, there exists a science of the spiritual life. I invite them, therefore, to broaden their field of investigation: gradually they will come to see that their own discoveries actually underline the veracity of the Teaching of the initiates. To the extent that they pit the physical world against the spiritual world, to the extent that they separate the two, scientific advances of any kind will leave them dissatisfied, because these advances remain exterior to them. These advances will of course enable them to manipulate matter, but they can have every means of manipulating matter and yet feel empty, because scientific and technological discoveries do not nourish the soul and spirit. Spiritual work is undoubtedly a long-term endeavour, the results of which are slow to manifest. But those who set out to do this work link themselves each day to the world of principles. They find meaning, and this meaning fulfils them.
