Number 2 - the 1 divided into positive and negative>

Creation is the work of the number 2. But what is this number 2? It is the number 1 polarized into positive and negative, masculine and feminine, active and passive. As soon as there is manifestation, there is partition, division. In order for number 1 to manifest and make itself known, it must divide. Unity is the privilege of God Himself, His exclusive domain. In order to create, God – the 1 – had to become 2: in 1 there can be no creation because no exchanges are possible. God therefore projected Himself out of Himself by polarizing, and the universe was born from the existence of these two poles. The positive pole attracts the negative pole and the negative pole attracts the positive. This mechanism of reciprocal action and reaction sparks off and maintains the movement of life. Stopping this movement would lead to stagnation and death, the return to the initial state of non-differentiation. The first lines of the Book of Genesis tell how creation occurred through a succession of divisions. On the first day of creation, God separated light from darkness. On the second day, He separated the waters above from the waters below. On the third day, He gathered the waters from dry land. 1 is therefore an entity enclosed within itself. In order to be released, this entity must become 2.*
