Love for another person - will only last if we can connect to the Creator through him or her

You think you are uniting for life with a man or woman. If you want your love to last, you must know that there is an order that must be respected. What does this mean? It means that in your heart and soul you must give priority to the Lord, the Being of all beings, the light of the universe, the dispenser of all goodness. And after that you may choose someone to be your companion. Truly spiritual people – men or women – give priority in themselves to the Creator as the source of love, wisdom and truth. Then they look for the person who is the most able to help them maintain this contact. When they have found this person, they make him or her their collaborator, someone who will inspire them, because they sense that there is something in this person that brings them closer to the Source, that he or she is a messenger who speaks to them of the divine world. In this way they are certain never to lose their love.
