The electrical wiring in your home enables you to use a certain number of appliances. How? By plugging them in. When you plug in your lamp, you have light; when you plug in your radiator, you have heat; when you plug in your radio or television, you receive sounds and pictures, and so on. The electricity that comes to your home and enables you to use your appliances comes from a power plant. And if you do not stay connected to it, you will remain in the dark, you will shiver, and you will hear none of the messages circulating in the world. Well, symbolically speaking, the power plant in our spiritual life is God, and everything that feeds our heart, our mind, our soul and our spirit comes from this source. Our failure to realize the importance of staying connected to God places us in the worst conditions of weakness, obscurity and spiritual cold.
