Life - continually renewed in us ensures others continue to love us

Why do men and women who felt strongly attracted to each other at first so often end up unable to bear each other anymore? Because they have been unable to sustain their inner life, to make it beautiful and poetic. For, unconsciously, it is life everyone is seeking; in fact it is all they are seeking. And life is always linked to love. When you love someone, you can explain it any way you like, but really there is no explanation. If you love that person, it is because of the life that emanates from them, a life that takes different forms – beauty, kindness, purity, intelligence, peace, and so on. Because people do not know how to renew their inner life, they become bored and bore others. So, if you don’t want to become bored and you want to be loved, you have to be able to sustain within you the source of life, forever new, forever bursting into being.
