Hierarchies, spiritual - awareness of their existence allows us to make progress

Those who deny the existence of entities higher than the human realm limit themselves and become dark inside. Even if they are not aware of these entities, they are still a reality. How can they think they are going to make progress, to improve, when they do not realize, or refuse to admit, that above them there exists a sublime hierarchy of angels and archangels, all the way up to the Lord? Since they cut themselves off from the ascending chain of beings, they have nothing and no one to call upon, so as to obtain energies from a higher order and progress along the path of evolution. Of course, where the material plane is concerned, you can always get by without having the slightest idea about angelic hierarchies. But in the spiritual life it is impossible; you stagnate, because you cut yourself off from the current of divine life. Only those who are aware that these hierarchies exist can see a light ahead of them at all times, and it encourages them to keep going.
