So many accidents and misfortunes occur because people have no idea of the dangers they run when they make certain decisions and rush headlong into particular enterprises! They calmly set off without seeing or foreseeing anything, and they throw themselves straight into difficulties. If they had known how to develop their inner eye, it would have warned them, as this eye, often called the third eye, is like a radar: it sends waves out into space, and when these waves return they are able to warn them of the obstacles or abysses to avoid. If most people’s radar has broken down, it is because the life they lead causes interference with the waves and stops it from functioning properly. It is true that there are cases where even when this spiritual eye is developed, it does not warn them. When certain events in their life are predetermined by the laws of destiny and therefore must occur, even if they have a premonition, the essence is hidden from them, and they cannot avoid the events. So all they can do is face the ordeals with the help of the light and the methods Initiatic Science offers. But generally speaking if they have been able to prepare the right conditions for it, this spiritual eye is there to warn and guide them.
