Exchange - everything is based on the law of exchange

The visible world is built upon the model of the invisible world, and if we have to pay for cabbages and carrots at the market, it is because in the invisible world, everything is also based on the law of exchange. In the invisible world, no soul can receive something from another without giving some joy, a glance or a ray in return. So many human beings have not yet learned to make these invisible exchanges! They take light and warmth from the sun and give nothing of themselves in return. They also take so much from the earth without giving it anything either. It isn’t fair. You will say, ‘But how can we possibly give something to the sun and the earth?’ First of all, you must stop thinking that the sun, the stars and the planets are just material bodies devoid of intelligence and sensitivity. And since they are intelligent and sensitive, you must consider them with respect, love and gratitude; that is all they ask of you.
