Evil - only God can make good take the place of evil

Evil will not exist forever. It exists as evil only as long as the Lord gives it the right to; but as soon as He orders it to disappear, it will disappear. Good alone is eternal; evil is transient, but we human beings do not have the power to make it disappear. God alone possesses this power. God does not need the help of human beings who are too weak and ignorant – the weapons we possess are ineffectual. Since only God can oppose evil, we must let the divine enter us, manifest itself, and work through us. It is the divine within us that will ensure that good takes the place of evil.
