Education - the way in which we speak to children is very important

Adults have still not fully understood how they should behave with children and, in particular, they are careless about the way in which they speak to them. So many parents and educators keep telling them that they are useless, dunces or idiots, and the children, influenced by suggestion, as if hypnotized, actually do become stupid and useless after a while. It is important to know that the spoken word is powerful, active and that what adults say to children can have a very harmful influence on them, can inhibit them and frighten them. Are threats about the big bad wolf, the police, the devil or who knows what else really necessary in order to get them to be good and obedient? These children are likely to feel threatened and in danger for the rest of their lives and will become neurotic. There are many things adults need to correct about their attitude towards children; otherwise, what they call an upbringing will in fact be a knocking down.
