Truth - Jesus said, ‘Know the truth, and the truth will make you free’
Jesus said, ‘Do not throw your pearls before swine’, because it is unwise to reveal spiritual truths to those who are not prepared to receive them.* But for those who are ready, knowledge of these truths is most desirable, for Jesus also said, ‘Know the truth, and the truth will make you free.’ What is more important than being free? And it is precisely truth that has the ability to liberate. Truth liberates, just as love warms, and wisdom enlightens. Each quality and each virtue has its own particular properties, and that of truth is to set free, because truth is linked with the will, with strength.
