The Master advises his disciples according to their needs - Often

Often, when the disciples of a Master talk among themselves, they are astonished to find that their Master has not given the same advice to each of them. But we must understand that a Master’s advice varies according to the person to whom it is given, and in relation to the period of their life. For example, as long as you are not ill, a Master will tell you that to remain healthy it is enough to live a pure, intelligent and sensible life. But if you are ill, he will tell you to see a doctor, to take some medicine, or even to have surgery. When it is too late, these are the only means at your disposal. Similarly, to those who are not married he will say, ‘Retain your freedom for as long as possible, and think carefully about what you are doing. Do not commit yourself too soon.’ But if married men or women come to ask his advice he will say that in getting married, they have made a commitment, and must now assume responsibility for it to the very end. So a Master advises his disciples according to their mentalities, their needs, and their current situation.
