Purify and cleanse yourself in order to let the divine light shine through - As long as human beings do not work to purify themselves

As long as human beings do not work to purify themselves, they will receive only weak, distorted messages and impulses from their higher Self, their divine Self. When the glass of an oil lamp is sooty, the light of the flame is not as luminous, strong and beautiful as when it is perfectly transparent; it needs to be cleaned. We can be likened to the glass of that oil lamp: the light of love and wisdom within us tries to manifest itself outwardly, but it must pass through all the layers of impurities that we have accumulated because of our senseless way of living, our disordered thoughts, and the selfishness of our feelings. The solution is very simple: we have to cleanse and purify ourselves until our physical, astral and mental bodies are so pure and transparent that the divine light buried within us that is struggling to shine through the darkness may at last be seen in all its brilliance.
