‘Our Father’ - how to discover the richness of this prayer

Despite its brevity, the Lord’s Prayer is an unsurpassable work. If you study this prayer all your life, and even beyond in future incarnations, you will never exhaust its contents. It is like a seed which each of us can plant deep in our inner earth, and this is exactly what I myself have done. I planted this seed in the earth of my being. I took care of it, I watered it, I kept it warm and gave it light. Now it has become a tree whose roots penetrate deep into my soul and whose crown rises all the way to heaven. This is why I tell you that you can study this prayer forever. It embraces all aspects of life; it touches all our psychic and spiritual processes, and it gives meaning to our existence. But as with the seed, you must first of all plant it and bring it to life within you. Then, little by little, you will discover all its riches.
