Master - he works to help us; understand that he is doing so for our own good

We humans have a tendency to think of ourselves as the centre of the universe. So when a Master—whose only concern is for our future and our evolution, spending his whole life, and all his time and energy to be of service to us—puts us back in our place, instead of understanding that he is doing so for our own good, we are upset, offended or even outraged. This is not the right attitude to adopt. If you are always listening to your lower nature, which wants the whole world to revolve around it, you should know that it can give you only bad advice. So why persist with this attitude? When your Master tries to quell it, lend him a hand instead of crying in protest. By protecting your lower nature you undermine the work of your Master who is trying to help you. So work with your Master. If he shakes your personality up a bit, show that you approve. When your lower nature sees that no one is on its side, it will eventually admit defeat.
