Marriage - the true blessing is love itself

There was a time when people were truly capable of loving each other and staying faithful, a time when the institution of marriage did not exist. The custom of marriage was instituted because people no longer knew how to love. Laws, sacraments, and so on, had to be invented to bind them together. Is there any need for documents, contracts, a mayor or a priest when there is love? In any case, these mayors, priests and contracts do not prevent couples from tearing each other apart and separating. When there is love, nothing else is needed for it to last forever, not even the blessing of a priest, because God has already given His blessing. God is present within the love of those who truly love each other, and that is the real blessing: love itself.*
