Love - creates our future

Whether you get what you want depends on how loving you are. It is your love that creates your future, for each person’s destiny is determined by the quality of the love they bear in their soul. Only a pure, disinterested love, a love for what is great and beautiful, will lead them to have encounters and experience events that fulfil their expectation. What conclusion can we draw from this truth? That if you aspire to a new life, a life of beauty, peace and light, you must not be content to make a few small changes in your various activities, such as drinking water instead of wine, eating vegetables instead of ham or roast chicken, reading a few books on spirituality and listening to sermons instead of going dancing, and so on. Unless you try to elevate the nature of your love and set your heart on the noblest, most spiritual things, you can change whatever else you like, the nature of the love you feel inside will bring you back the same difficulties, the same suffering. People speak of the power of love… Well, that is what it is: you create your future with what you love and the way you love it.
