Life on earth - a training course

Do many people really consider the meaning of their time on earth? How many actually ask themselves, ‘What am I doing here? Why am I here?’ Most behave as if they had nothing better to do than try to pass the time as pleasantly as possible. Very few are aware that the few decades they have been given to live should be considered as a training course. Yes, a course during which heaven is asking them to learn and improve, that is, to work on their character, for it is all they will be left with and take with them to the next world. When we leave the earth, we have to leave behind all our material and even intellectual acquisitions, and those who have done no inner work go wretched, poor and naked before the heavenly spirits. Disciples of an initiatic school understand they must work on qualities that will remain theirs for all eternity. And when they come back in another incarnation, heaven will give them better conditions and more effective means to continue their work.
