Insurance - is not an excuse for negligence

The future always holds a great measure of uncertainty, it’s true. Anything can happen. So, insurance was created to provide for life’s accidents. I will not say insurance is a bad thing, but it has created in people the tendency to believe they can safeguard everything they hold dear. So, never mind if they are inattentive or careless – the insurance is there! And while they insure their house, their car, their jewellery, and some even insure their legs or their hands, they forget to cultivate their most precious qualities: attention, watchfulness, a sense of responsibility and all those qualities that enrich the soul and spirit. But they are not aware of this. And so they are given lessons, for on earth nothing is ever safe. No insurance will compensate them for what they lose in remaining weak, neglectful and lazy.
