Improving ourselves - our efforts are the only thing that counts for heaven

We must renew our efforts to improve ourselves every day. Even if we do not always succeed, the fact that we try will vindicate us in the eyes of heaven. Heaven will never blame us for not succeeding; it is our efforts that count, and our efforts depend on us. When heaven sees that despite all the obstacles, we continue on our path without faltering, it ordains that our task shall be made lighter. Then joy, light, beauty and freedom will pour down on us. The gifts we receive will be chosen to suit our character, our structure, our affinities, the work we are called on to do, and whatever we need for our evolution.*
