Holy Trinity - fire, light and heat

You light a fire, and a flame bursts forth that produces light. Fire and flame are almost one and the same. But when we say fire, we are talking about the cause, of which the flame is a consequence. There is no light without fire, but who knows what fire itself is? We can know it only through its two-fold manifestation: heat and light. The Holy Trinity is one of the symbolic representations of the great mystery of fire. The fire is the Father, and from the Father proceed the Son, the Christ, who is light and wisdom, and the Holy Spirit, who is warmth and love.
