Higher self - release the spiritual energies needed to feed it

A true spiritualist is one who decides to abandon all their futile occupations, all their passing pleasures that bring them nothing. By doing this, they release within themselves spiritual energies that were paralysed and enslaved by ordinary, everyday habits, and they can at last bear fruit in the land of the soul and the spirit. Look at a tree: when it is invaded by insects and caterpillars, it cannot bear fruit, and we must rid it of its parasites. In the same way, someone who indulges in laziness, a life of ease and frivolous distractions attracts parasites. And what are these parasites? Dark entities of the astral world. They invade their body, will, heart and intellect, they suck up the sap that should nourish their higher self. Yes, this is true: if they are not vigilant, human beings become the home of other beings that drain them of all their energy. To get rid of these parasites, they must dedicate their whole being to their higher self, thereby nourishing it with succulent fruits.
