Good and evil - goodness is the most important; amplify it

Very few people realize the extent of the damage that results from their habit of focusing on the negative side of people and things. Many friendships and relationships have been broken because of this tendency to look for other people’s faults, to point out and dwell on all that is wrong in the world, to make failures and catastrophes the only topic of conversation, and so on. Sages, on the other hand, try to see both sides, the good and the bad, at once. They are not blind, they do not allow themselves to be deceived, but they consider the most important thing in life and in people to be goodness. They know that evil is there, but by concentrating always on what is good, they attract the strength of good and amplify it in themselves, in others, and throughout the world.
