Faith - we show it through our actions

Whether or not they have a religion, those who act towards others with kindness, understanding, patience and generosity show their faith in a higher principle that dictates their behaviour, and heaven accords them its help and protection. Believers, on the other hand, who imagine that their faith will excuse their failings in God’s eyes are doubly mistaken. First, faith does not erase faults. And second, they are displaying dishonesty, which makes things even worse, because they are making fun of the Lord if they claim to believe in him but do not respect his laws and deceive or mistreat others. The only true criteria for faith are actions, how we behave in daily life. This is why an initiatic Teaching deals with all human faculties and the different activities through which they are exercised, not only psychologically but also physically.
