Faculties and virtues - only the spiritual sun can make these seeds grow

From the beginning of time, the Creator has placed within human beings seeds of all kinds, that is to say, qualities, virtues, faculties and gifts. If many of the seeds have not as yet borne fruit, it is because there has been no sun to bring them warmth and light. To all those who are wondering how they can tell whether the seeds I am speaking of are real, I say this: ‘Go to the sun; it is the sun that makes them grow and come out into the light of day. Then you will see…’ But when it comes to the seeds that have been placed within us, it is the spiritual sun, the spirit, of course, that makes them grow. The physical sun is there to show us how the phenomena of the physical plane correspond to those of the spiritual plane.
