Dissatisfaction - it spurs us forward

God has planted a sense of dissatisfaction and emptiness in the souls of his creatures that will be filled only when they are one with Him. Until they achieve this union they will continue to search and experiment, believing each time that they are about to find what they are looking for, and yet they will always be disappointed and disillusioned. In reality, this disappointment is not such a bad thing, for it spurs human souls ever forward, to greater endeavours in their search for the Beloved.
