Disciples - they must rely only on their work

Disciples mustn’t rely on anything or anyone—not even on the great Masters, nor the angels, nor the Lord Himself. They must rely solely on their work, for it is because of their work that they will then be able to rely on the whole universe. When we plant a seed, we can count on the sun, the rain and the morning dew to make our seedlings grow. But if we haven’t sown anything, there is no point in counting on anything. It would be like relying on emptiness. Who then is to blame if none of the things we expect come to pass? Even the Lord would rather we did not rely so heavily on Him. This is why it is written, ‘Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ So it is up to you to take the first step, to initiate the process that will allow you to obtain what you desire.
