Children - their sensitivity to the subtle worlds

Very young children possess a kind of clairvoyance, and when they look at stones, trees, flowers, animals, humans, they see entities moving among them and in them. They even feel that the entities come to meet them and speak to them, too, like friends coming to visit. But very quickly, the adults and their whole materialistic environment cause the connection between the child and the invisible world to be broken, as does the fact that the child’s intellectual faculties and psychological tendencies now come into play. Gradually, they come to see creation as nothing but a juxtaposition of lives with which they have no communication; they no longer perceive the subtle vibrations that allow the connection. This sensitivity to the subtle, alive aspect of nature is what disciples of an initiatic school practise developing.
