Children - nourish their souls with the spiritual life

When children eat, do they understand what energies this food will give them and how these energies will contribute to their physical, moral and intellectual growth? No, of course not, but we cannot wait for them to understand before giving them food. Well, neither should we wait for a child to understand before we introduce them to certain notions of spirituality because later in life they will become conscious of all that they have registered but not understood, and they will benefit from it. They will make use of it and be far more balanced than children who were kept from such matters on the pretext they were supposedly too young. If children had to wait until they were old enough to understand the spiritual life before they were allowed to experience it, in some ways they would soon be dead, spiritually dead. Spiritual life is not like mathematics, physics or chemistry for which a certain level of intellectual development is required. For a child’s soul, the spiritual life is like a mother tongue that they soak up by hearing it spoken all around them.
