Brotherhood - understanding the advantages of living in a collectivity

Try to understand the advantages of learning to live in a collectivity, a brotherhood. There, you find yourself in unusual circumstances. You meet people of different degrees of evolution, and you must begin by trying to understand them, to understand their nature and the forces and entities to which they are linked. And even if you find them unpleasant and unattractive, you have to be able to love them, and develop sufficient strength of character to put up with them, and do what you can to help them. In a spiritual brotherhood, disciples are able to evolve by learning to overlook their likes and dislikes. Most people tend to look for what suits and pleases them. Well no, they should seek only what will help them to advance spiritually. Of course, someone who is not interested in advancing spiritually is incapable of belonging to a brotherhood. Only those who are looking for the methods and conditions that will help them to grow and advance will understand that a brotherhood can give them something that they will not find anywhere else.*
